A YOUNG man who socked a policeman on the face has been jailed.
Kieran Tominey lashed out in the custody suite at Cathcart Police Station on January 30 last year.
Glasgow Sheriff Court was told that the 26-year-old was being held for another unrelated manner when he became agitated and aggressive.
Tominey attempted to kick and punch one PC before hitting and booting another.
The constable suffered cuts to the right-hand side of his face.
Sheriff Allan Findlay sentenced Tominey, of Kirkton Avenue, to five months in prison backdated to December 8, 2017.
