BUCHANAN Galleries is set to cheer up commuters and shoppers in need of a pick-me-up on Blue Monday by dishing out freebies.
Blue Monday (15 January) is renowned as the most depressing day of the year, due to winter weather, counting the cost of Christmas, failing our new year's resolutions and low motivational levels.
However, the Glasgow' shopping centre is set to turn frowns upside down across the city by giving out vouchers for a variety of freebies throughout the morning, from a free tea or coffee to a £10 gift card.
Kathy Murdoch, centre manager at Buchanan Galleries, said: “The festive period is a distant memory for many, so we want to give the people of Glasgow something to get rid of that Blue Monday feeling and bring a little cheer to their day.”
Promotional staff will be inside Queen Street station and across the city centre from 8am on Monday 15th January.
