ANDREW Considine believes Aberdeen's Chidi Nwakali will definitely be one to watch at Pittodrie – after he sent his new team-mates his own dance video.

The Nigerian is set to feature for Derek McInnes’ men today when they take on Lokomotiv Tashkent in Dubai, just four days after sealing a loan move from Manchester City.

Settling into his new dressing room doesn’t appear to have fazed the 21-year-old midfielder according to Considine, who two years ago infamously appeared in drag during his own music video as part of a stag-do joke, strutting his stuff to Yes Sir, I Can Boogie.

The Aberdeen defender is confident Nwakali will be a hit with the Dons supporters after settling in with the squad while they are out in Dubai.

“I’ve seen a few loan signings over the years and they stay in a shell and don’t get involved,” Considine said. But he has come in and been straight in about it.

“He’s definitely a character. He says he’s going to sing on Sunday so we’re waiting. He produced a dance video on WhatsApp so it should be fun. Don’t worry he had clothes on. He doesn’t know

about my video yet, but I’m sure he will!

“I’m sure he’ll get a good part of the game on Sunday in front of a couple of hundred fans. He’ll know what is expected of him. He’s had a couple of years in Norway and I’m sure it’s similar to Scottish football. The fact he’s at Manchester City says a lot about him.”

This is the second time McInnes has taken his Aberdeen team to Dubai for a winter break and Considine says the benefits are clear. Last season it helped them to the Scottish Cup final, only for Tom Rogic to strike at the death to clinch a treble for Celtic.

It is something which still drives on the 30-year-old defender.

“The cup final was a huge sucker-punch. In the second half it was backs to the wall and we had a couple of chances, but against Celtic and Rangers you need to take them. It was a real sore one to take because it came with the last kick of the ball.

“We won the League Cup four years ago but a club like Aberdeen should be competing in finals most years. Anything can happen in cup competitions and whoever turns up on the day can produce a shock. We should be there or there abouts and should be adding to that trophy cabinet this year.”
