A WOMAN is donating a number of beautiful gowns that were worn for previous bridesmaid roles to those less fortunate.

Lynsey Chambers' friends and family often joke about the number of times she has been given the role of a bridesmaid.

And since she had taken up the post on several occassions, Lynsey has managed to accumulate a selection of stunning dresses.

Now the stylish mum, who comes from Motherwell, is looking to donate her expensive dresses to those who can't afford to buy them themselves.

As prom season is approaching Lynsey, who wears a size eight, hopes to donate her dresses to anyone who would like or need one.

The five dresses on offer include a navy strapless gown, a nude pink number and red strapless satin dress.

Also on offer is a baby pink strapless design and a praline coloured one-shouldered gown.

Lynsey posted on her Facebook: "As many of you know, it's now a long standing joke about how many times I have been bridesmaid over the past few years.

"As a result I have accumulated a fair few beautiful dresses that have been worn only once each, and all of them were expensive.

"I have spoken to the brides in each case who have no need to have them back, so, as prom season is coming up and there seems to be lots of girls able to spend hundreds of £s on dresses there will also be girls who maybe can't, so I'd like to be able to offer these dresses to anyone who would like one or need one.

"If I have one that they like and the size suits, they can come and get it and it's theirs.

"I'm a bog standard size 8 usually and these dresses range from 8 to 12 and I'm 5ft 7" and wore heels with all of these."
