Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has praised the new recipe Irn-Bru after he tried it live on television.

AG Barr have received backlash in recent weeks after the controversial decision to change the secret recipe and reducing the sugar content to comply with new laws.

The 61-year-old actor was asked to try the Scots fizzy favourite on BBC One's The One Show this week during a feature on the change that has divided the nation.

Cranston, who had never heard of Irn-Bru, appeared reluctant to taste the bright orange drink as the hosts Michael Ball and Alex Jones joked that it was very 'natural', but after taking one sip he said: "It's kind of delightful."

The Hollywood star then went back for more of the reduced sugar Bru.

As previously reported by the Evening Times, the makers of Irn-Bru have claimed most people will not taste the difference when the fizzy drink's reduced sugar recipe is introduced, despite fans launching a campaign against the move.

Scotland's so-called other national drink will be produced with less than 50% of its regular sugar content from later this month.
