THIS is the moment a stunned busker was joined by Glasgow's own Jimmy Somerville while he sang one of the singer's most popular hits.

The odds must surely have been in the busker's favour as he sang the 1984 Bronski Beat chart-topper, 'Smalltown Boy' and was approached by the man himself - who appeared to just be passing by waslking his dog.

The Communards star sidles up to the man, who is casually leaning against the wall of a cafe playing his guitar, and seems to fluster him as he does a double-take and forgets where he is in the song.

The unknown man looks at him in surprise and as Jimmy starts to sing he rushes out "oh wait" and counts himself back in.

The two men sing the chorus together with Jimmy wowing the small crowd that had gathered with his haunting and instantly recognisable voice.

Glasgow Times:

As the song finishes they shake hands and Jimmy tells him "well done" to which the busker repies "is it you?" much to the amusement of their audience.

The video has gone viral on social media, gathering over 25,000 views since it was posted on Saturday night.

It's unclear when and where the video was filmed - the Twitter user who posted the clip goes by the name 'Vintage Wullie' and some users on Twitter say it was taken in Berlin and others say Brighton.

Either way, that's once chance encounter the busker isn't likely to forget anytime soon.
