ONE of Glasgow's biggest bands have pledged their support for a local school's football team.
Mogwai are now the proud sponsors of the Young Team at St Roch's Primary and Deaf School in Roystonhill.
Depute head teacher and coach Andy McDonald managed to organise the coup after approaching the band for help.
FriendĀ of the band Mr McDonald thought he'd chance his luck when the team needed new football gear.
Much to his surprise, the band, who headlined the SSE Hydro in December, were more than happy to help out - as long as they got four adult tops made for each member.

The band paid for one set of the strips in the school's dark and light blue and a separateĀ "away" strip which is green and black.
Mogwai, made up of Stuart Braithwaite, Dominic Aitchison, Barry Burns and Martin Bulloch, formed in 1995 and have released nine albums.
Their debut album was called Mogwai Young Team.
