A CONCERNED passenger called transport cops after witnessing a teenager punch a boy twice in the face.

Officers from British Transport Police are appealing for help in identifying a victim of assault which happened at Dumbarton Central station after 9pm on Janaury 19.

The victim, a teenage boy, was standing on platform one with a friend when he was approached by another teenager. The teenage boy then punched the victim twice to the face.

A concerned passenger reported the incident to police by sending a text to BTP’s reporting service, 61016. So far, the victim has not reported this matter.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses and for the victim to get in touch.

The suspect is described as being aged 15 or 16 with short dark hair. He had a slim build and was wearing jeans and a black top.
