A GLASGOW based theatre school is teaming up with some of the biggest names in Scottish showbiz.

Still Game's Jane McCarry(Isa) and River City's Gary Lamont (Robbie Fraser) are just a few of the actors doing takeover weeks at The Theatre School Of Scotland.

The school for budding stars is creating a platform for young Scottish performers to meet and work with their idols.

Organisers say the school prides itself on putting kids infront of hard working Scottish actors and making sure all the pupils are working actively in the industry.

Glasgow Times:

The school offers two in house talent agents to ensure all kids are being submitted for professional work.

Reece Donnelly, Director and Founder of Theatre School Of Scotland said: "We aim to train and develop Scotland’s next generation of talent, bringing in industry professionals like Gary and Jane really teach the kids that it is possible to make it big and be from Scotland.

Glasgow Times:

"Gone are the days where you need to live in London to make it in this industry, our takeover weeks have been so successful and I cant wait to share who else we have coming in this year."

Actor Gary Lamont said: "I believe that children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way, Whitney Houston was kinda right. But they weans need good teachers too."

The Theatre School Of Scotland teaches students acting for TV, film, theatre and also provides singing and vocal courses.

Founded by Scottish actor Reece Donnelly in 2016, the school is split into two with one campus based in Cambuslang and one based in Glasgow North.
