Rutherglen Main Street
A ROBBER has raided a bank in a busy shopping street in Rutherglen in broad daylight.
The TSB on Main Street was targeted before 3pm today and it is understood that the man entered the bank before demanding cash and making his getaway.
Police confirmed the robbery had taken place and said enquiries were at an early stage.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 2.45pm on Tuesday, January 23, police were called to a report of a robbery in the TSB bank on Rutherglen Main Street.
"A man entered the bank before making off on foot with an unknown quantity of money.
"No one was injured and enquiries are at an early stage."
