This is the spine-tingling cover of a ‘The Greatest Showman’ song that’s captivating the internet.

Glasgow singer Nicole Simpson - also known as Red - posted the video onto her YouTube just 24 hours ago as viewers from across the world clamour to lavish praise.

Sharing the clip of herself singing the popular tune ‘Never Enough’ on her YouTube page on Thursday, Red described the song as “the long-awaited cover.”

She added: “I’ve had a crazy amount of requests for this song so I thought I’d leave the best of my ‘The Greatest Showman’ marathon to last. I hope you guys love it. I literally spilled my guts on this one. Please share the hell out of it. Love you guys xx.”

In just a day, the video has already had thousands of views.

The 22-year-old was a familiar face on last year’s X Factor.

Having made it through to the bootcamp round, Nicole dropped out after deciding the popular talent contest show “wasn’t right for my career at this moment in time.”

In a statement in October, she added: “I’m sworn to secrecy but I had other exciting opportunities I couldn’t say no to.

“I want everyone to know how thankful I am for all the support and love I’ve been shown over the past couple of weeks.

“Please trust I made the right decision and with or without the X Factor I promise to make you proud! Red.”

The star-studded soundtrack to the film ‘The Greatest Showman’ - which features vocals from the film’s stars Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron and Zendaya - stormed to the top of the UK charts where it has remained for three weeks straight.

Craig David could score his third number one album this if he manages to knock the soundtrack off the top spot on Sunday.

One of the film’s songs, titled ‘This Is Me’, was named the best original song at the Golden Globes ceremony and has now been nominated for an Oscar.
