POTTERHEADS are in for a treat as a shop dedicated to the world's most popular boy wizard is opening this month in Glasgow.

The Evening Times reported in September that the city was set for a Harry Potter store - and the location has been revealed.

Clause 73 will open on Saturday, February 17 from 10am in Cresswell Lane - near the University of Glasgow in the West End of the city.

The Potter-themed shop is the brainchild of Wendy and Kenny McDermott who also own up-cycle furniture store Wendy's Hoose.

There are already similar shops in Edinburgh, London and York but this will be the first of its kind for Glasgow.

Wendy previously told the Evening Times: "Scotland has lots of connections to Harry Potter and we have found a few directly linked to Glasgow. It is our aim to put Glasgow on the Harry Potter Tourist Map.

"We have identifed the ideal location for premises and are currently hard at work to make sure it will be packed to the brim with officially licensed Harry Potter merchandise as well as Harry Potter Inspired furniture and gifts."
