A MAN and woman were hospitalised following a "disturbance" in Rutherglen.
The 27-year-old man and 46-year-old woman had both sustained injuries following the incident at a property on Greenhill Road.
Another man and woman, aged 24 and 41, were arrested in connection with the incident, which happened at around 5.40pm last night.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that at 5.40pm last night police attended a house and found a 46-year-old woman and 27-year-old man with injuries.
"Both were treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and staff say they are in a stable condition.
"A 24-year-old man and 41-year-old woman were charged in connection with the incident.
"They are set to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow."
