CAROL Smillie's daughter's dreams of stardom were dashed after all four judges rejected her during her audition for The Voice.

Last night, Jodie Knight performed a blind audition but judges Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Will.I.Am and Jennifer Hudson were not impressed.

Despite none of the coaches turned their big red chairs for the Changing Rooms star's daughter, viewers were quick to defend her.

One said: “Jodie never give up singing you were great.. It's a shame you were not picked and your mum must be super proud.”

Another added: “How the hell did @carolsmillie1 daughter NOT GET PICKED ON THE VOICE. What a joke. That girls voice was unreal.”

However, some fans of the show agreed with the judges' decision and weren't overly impressed with her singing talent.

One viewer said: “They only showed her audition because her mum is Carol Smillie, because if we’re being honest - she wasn’t a very good singer”
