A CITY music festival is set to expand this year.
The Glasgow Summer Sessions annual festival which is held in Bellahouston Park will return for 2018 - and the organisers have hinted it will be a bigger event.
The event organisers said on the social media website Facebook: "Summer Sessions is expanding, stay tuned for more information.”
Eagle-eyed music fans, however, spotted that the name of the event had changed to the Summer Sessions, prompting speculation that the event may be held outside the city.
One said: "Possibly expanding to other cities now then since they have took out the Glasgow in their Summer Sessions page."
Another added: "Looks like it may be moving out of Glasgow, after the name change."
The popular festival has attracted huge acts in previous years including Eminem, Calvin Harris and Paolo Nutini.
The Evening Times previously reported that the event has caused chaos for residents living near the park, with drunk festival-goers using nearby gardens as toilets and intimidating locals.
It was the biggest music festival held in the city until TRNSMT was launched by the same promoters DF Concerts last year.
The 2018 TRNSMT festival has already expanded over two weekends with headline acts including Liam Gallagher and The Killers.
