A POSSILPARK man who gave a homeless person a swig of his Buckfast found himself in the dock for snatching the bottle back.

Stephen McCormack, 29, previously pleaded guilty to brandishing the glass bottle in the city's Sauchiehall Street on July 8, 2016.

Defence agent Mr Tuck explained that his client was currently serving a 20-month jail sentence.

McCormack, who had not been brought to Glasgow Sheriff Court, was said to have handed the Buckfast bottle to a homeless person, but then there was a dispute over who was taking it. The accused grabbed it back and was arrested for brandishing it.

Sheriff Diana McConnell admonished McCormack, of Hamiltonhill Road, in his absence.
