CANNABIS worth an estimated street value of £300,000 have been seized by cops following a raid at property in Glasgow's plush West End.
The intelligence-led operation took place on Saturday, February 10 when officers executed a search warrant at a property in Montague Street and recovered a significant quantity of cannabis.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The force, however, hinted that they received a tip-off from a member of the public and urged others to help them disrupt the supply of drugs.
Inspector Eddie Seery, from Partick Police Station, said: “Information from members of the public is absolutely vital in our efforts to tackling drugs crime, and as a result of their support, we have managed to take a significant haul of cannabis off the streets of Glasgow.
“Those who supply drugs have absolutely no place in our community and we will do everything we can do identify their criminal activities and bring them to justice.
“Anyone with information regarding drugs activity in their area is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
