DRIVERS experienced severe delays on the M8 near Glasgow Airport after a major road crash.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that a four-car collision led to two lanes being blocked on the busy route.
Emergency services were also called to the scene but the condition of the people in the vehicles is currently unknown.
The accident happened on Sunday just after 12pm at a busy stretch of the M8.
It was already heavily congested because to a contraflow system set up for a weekend-long programme of upgrades between junctions 28 and 29.
Traffic Scotland reported a 30 minute wait today and westbound queues were stretching as far back as junction 30 from the Erskine Bridge merge.
