The City Council is to increase the funding available to invest in roads and pavements.
The City Treasurer found extra cash to help improve city streets.
The fund including cash to repair potholes will more than double form the planned £11m to £25.3 m in 2018/19.
The Evening Times Spothole Campaign has been highlighting the worst potholes across the city and called for more investment in repairs and resurfacing.
Anna Richardson, Sustainability and Carbon Reduction Convenor, said: “This budget provides significant levels of extra investment in the fabric of our city to fix roads and pavements.”
