A popular cafe has launched an appeal for vintage memorabilia to help decorate their new Merchant City venue.

Single-end Cafe, located in Garnethill, is a favourite brunch destination among Glaswegians and the decor inside makes for an all round lovely experience.

The cafe's glass tables are filled with old postcards, stamps and photos, contributing to the vintage decor and cosy feel.

Now the cafe has made an appeal for the public to donate any 'interesting' items that could help them create more of these bespoke tables for their new Merchant City cafe, which is set to open this year.

In a Facebook post the team wrote: "So you may have noticed that our tables have pictures, postcards and other treasures set inside them and they’re pretty darn cute right?

Glasgow Times:

"For our new Merchant City venue we’re creating more of these bespoke beauties (made right here in Glasgow), and we would love if you could be part of them. We’re looking for vintage postcards, letters, stamps, tickets, invitations or anything ‘interesting’ that we could use to make these tables.

"These tables are very special to us and we promise to take good care of them. If you do have absolutely anything that you would be happy for us to use, if you can pop it in an envelope with your name and contact details and drop it to us here at the Garnethill venue."

The team teased the opening of their Merchant City cafe at the start of the week with a Valentine's Day inspired poem which read: "Roses are red, violets are blue, first there was one, soon there'll be two. Coming to Merchant City soon."
