FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a van blaze in Glasgow's South Side this afternoon.
One fire engine was sent to Netherlee Road just before 3pm. The Vauxhall vehicle was quickly extinguished by 3.11pm.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 2.49pm on Monday, February 26 to reports of a van on fire on Netherlee Road, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised one fire engine to the scene, where firefighters extinguished the fire.
“There were no casualties.
“Crews left the scene at 3.11pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A witness uploaded a picture of the inferno to Facebook, stating: "Van fire in Newlands. Fireman Sam and colleagues on hand very quickly."
