TRNSMT Festival has announced the final headliners with the addition of one of the most influential and iconic bands of all time.

Queen + Adam Lambert will take to the stage on Friday, July 6 at Glasgow Green with Texas, The Darkness and The Temperance Movement also confirmed to join the bill.

Their critically-acclaimed partnership has proved to be a global phenomenon, having played over 130 shows across the world.

Filling stadiums and festivals, Queen + Adam Lambert’s touring show has drawn across-the board rave notices, having been hailed by national media as “one of the most entertaining nights of rock and roll to be seen and heard anywhere.”

Queen + Adam Lambert’s appearance at TRNSMT is the only show the band are to perform in the UK this summer outside of their three earlier sold out London concerts.

Having marked the 40th anniversary of seminal album News of The World in 2017, Queen + Adam Lambert are set to bring an incredible festival atmosphere to Glasgow, performing timeless anthems ‘Radio Gaga’, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody, ‘Another One Bites the Dust’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘We Are The Champions’.

Organisers have also promised a few surprise Queen classics.

Geoff Ellis, head of DF Concerts, said: “As bona fide music legends, Queen + Adam Lambert’s TRNSMT show promises to be a spectacular highlight in Scotland’s music calendar this summer. I’m sure the atmosphere will be electric when they step on stage.

“Today’s announcement completes the headliners for all five days of TRNSMT Festival, with the rest of the bill being finalised over the coming weeks.”

July 6’s unmissable line-up will see headliners Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys, Queen + Adam Lambert, and The Killers.

Acts such as The Script, Courteeners, Interpol, Texas, CHVRCHES, Wolf Alice, Blossoms and Franz Ferdinand are also set to take to the stage.

Tickets for the Friday go on sale at 9am on March 9 from TRNSMTfest.com.

Day tickets for Friday, June 29, Saturday, June 30, Friday, July 6 and Sunday, July 8 are available alongside two, three and five-day ticket options.

TRNSMT 2017 brought a mix of international and local talent to Glasgow Green’s stage. Fans were able to experience first-hand Glasgow’s UNESCO City of Music status as audiences gathered to celebrate in a metropolitan setting.
