TV scouts are to visit a Glasgow boozer famed for karaoke ahead of the new series of The X Factor.

The Horse Shoe Bar, which is in the city's Drury Street, will welcome the ITV researchers for the X Factor to their premises on Tuesday, April 10 at 8pm.

In a post on social media, The Horse Shoe Bar said: "We are very excited to announce the researchers from ITV's X Factor will be joining us on Tuesday, April 10 to scout for talent.

"Things will kick off at 8pm as usual but I suggest getting in early. You will not need to book a spot to sing as this will all be organised by our host. Over 18s only on the night."

The Horse Shoe Bar is famed in the city for its karaoke over. Glasgow band Travis, above, often rehearsed in the city pub before reaching the height of their fame and their awards are on display inside.

The X Factor will be approaching series 15 when it returns later this year.
