Indie rockers The Fratellis celebrated the release of their fifth studio album with an instore event at HMV in Glasgow’s Argyle Street.

The Scottish trio performed a short acoustic set to showcase tracks from In Your Own Sweet Time before meeting fans and signing copies of their new album yesterday. Out earlier this month, the album harkens back to the American pop music of the 1970s.

Lead vocalist Jon Fratelli (real name John Lawler), pictured, formed the band with bass guitarist Barry Fratelli (born Barry Wallace) and drummer and backing vocalist Mince Fratelli (born Gordon McRory) in 2005.

The band are best known for their singles Chelsea Dagger and Whistle for the Choir which both reached the top 10 in the UK charts.
