EMERGENCY response units were involved in an armed stand off in a Pollokshaws street, after a man allegedly barricaded himself into a property
Police firearm specialists, negotiators and officers were called to the property on Pitcaple Drive, near to Thornliebank Road yesterday at around 3.50pm.
The 33-year-old refused to come out the house and a four-and-a-half hour stand-off ensued.
He eventually surrendered himself to police around 8.40pm after negotiations with specialist officers.
A police spokesperson said: "Around 3.50pm police were called to a property on Pitcaple Drive in Pollokshaws where a 33-year-old man had barricaded himself in a house.
"Following negotiations with specialist trained officers, he surrendered himself to police around 8.40pm."
No one was injured and a 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with the alleged incident.
