JACK Hendry, the 22-year-old centre half who joined Celtic from Dundee in a £1.5 million transfer back in January, has been called into the Scotland squad for the friendlies with Costa Rica and Hungary.
Hendry has only been involved in five games for Brendan Rodgers's side, one of which was the 3-2 win over Rangers at Ibrox eight days ago, since moving to Parkhead.
But he has been added to the national squad after his club mate Kieran Tierney withdrew along with Russell Martin of Rangers due to calf and back injuries respectively.
Alex McLeish's side play Costa Rica at Hampden on Friday and then Hungary in Budapest the following Tuesday.
