AN elderly woman was sexually assaulted by another patient in a Glasgow hospital.
Cops are now investigating the sex attack on the 71-year-old which happened at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Thursday.
It is understood that the incident happened in a ward within the super hospital.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police Scotland officers have received a report of a 71-year-old female patient being sexually assaulted within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, March 15.
"Enquiries are currently ongoing."
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board added: "We can confirm an incident took place involving two patients which our staff reported to the police.
"This is now a police matter."
