An elderly man was attacked by two masked men who forced their way into his home in Priesthill.

The victim sustained a serious head wound in the attack that is not being treated as a robbery.

Detective Constable Emma Nicholson, Govan CID, said: “Whilst at this time we don’t have a motive for this attack, we do believe that the men went to that house specifically; it wasn’t an opportunist attack or an attempted robbery as the suspects did not try and steal anything.
