A hapless driver proved to be an absolute plonker after being pulled over with a driving license registered to DEL BOY.

Police found the dodgy licence, which pictured the comedy character and said it only allowed him to drive a three wheeler.

Registered to a Mr Del Trotter, the fake stated that its owner was only licensed to drive a three wheeler, when they were clearly driving a green Renault Megane.

Glasgow Times:

The car has now been seized by police, who added the licence “wasn’t produced in an attempt to deceive”.

Norfolk and Suffolk Police team, who stopped the car yesterday evening (Mar 21), said: "#BonnetDeDouche everybody, not even this #Plonkers fake driving licence could stop their car being seized.

“Driver reported No DL & No Ins #A47 Terrington. #PotPourri”

The driver was stopped on the A47 in Terrington St Clement, in Norfolk.

Del Boy is the iconic character in hit comedy series Only Fools and Horses, popular in the 1980's and fondly remembered today.
