THE Salvation Army has been looking after the hero firefighters and other emergency service staff at the site of the Sauchiehall Street fire.
A hot food van is stationed near the cordon offering, drinks and hot rolls to the firefighters who have been battling the blaze since yesterday morning.
The charity has offered a similar service at other major fires including a blaze at Cameron House hotel last December which killed two people and injured three.
They were also present at the Govan car scrapyard fire last year.
Hundreds of emergency workers have been based at the site for more than a day after a fire started at one of the commercial units on Sauchiehall Street after 8am on Thursday.
