THE Scheme man Marvin Baird has reportedly lost his ideal job in jail after a mobile phone he had smuggled up his bum fell out in front of a warden.

The ex-BBC Scotland star is awaiting sentence in HMP Kilmarnock for being in possession of drugs.

His special role as “passman” came with extra benefits including extra time in bed.

However, the 38-year-old’s move has been labelled “hapless.”

An inside source said: “Marvin was walking about the prison in a pair of shorts and flips flops.

“He was holding a high-profile prisoner’s phone inside his bum and went to pick something up in front of one of the officers.

“But it slipped out and landed right at the guard’s feet.”

“The guard pressed something and then prison officers were swarming from everywhere.”

“He was sacked from his passman job straight away and was locked up 23 hours a day,” added the source, according to The Scottish Sun.

Baird was first thrust into the spotlight after appearing in gritty reality show The Scheme in 2010.

The show made unlikely celebrities of heroin addict Baird, his other half Dayna and dog Bullet.

Remaining episodes had been postponed and shown the following year because of court cases involving some of the people in the series which was set in the notorious Onthank estate in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.
