DOZENS of excited community champions were “geeing it laldy” at a glittering celebration last night in honour of their achievements.
The Evening Times Community Champions Glasgow North East was kicked off the dazzling voice Ciaran Haggarty who performed an outstanding rendition of Christina Aguilera’s Fighter, which prompted host Michelle McManus to joke he made her sound like “Billy Connolly at a tenement party”.
Guests ended the evening by dancing along to the Pop Idol star who wowed the crowds with her performance of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing - prompting cried of we want more from the crowd as she exited the stage.
