VIRAL sensation Denise Ferrie has helped remix a 90s classic thanks to her phrasing of the word desire.

The Coatbridge woman, who shot to fame after singing My Boy Lollipop at her mother's graveside, has given the Gala classic Freed from Desire an updated feel.

The remix appeared on a comedy page and has only continued to make Denise more popular ahead of her first gig in Glasgow's Bar Buddha this Sunday.

Freed from Desire was originally released in 1996 and peaked at number two in the UK charts.

The Evening Times was first to report on how social media users had overwhelmingly responded to Denise's unique tribute at a funeral.

It shows her standing at a graveside in what is believed to be Coltswood Cemetery in Coatbridge.

Looking up to the sky, while surrounded by other loved ones, she breaks into Millie Small’s 1965 hit My Boy Lollipop in a distinctively Scottish style.

She is also a known rapper among pals and is called ‘Slim’.
