The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has announced today a new partnership with Clydeside Distillery which will allow visitors and organisers to enjoy whisky on tap.

The venue has been working with The Clydeside Distillery, situated at the Western end of the campus, to lay a series of underground pipes parallel to the River Clyde under the Campus site which will feed into Clydebuilt bar and restaurant.  The new tap will give visitors a  traditional Scottish welcome and will allow group tastings at the end of a busy day at an event.

Glasgow Times:

Professor Glen Still, internationally renowned distiller, said: “This will be one of the first whisky taps available in Glasgow, and we are excited to be able to share our product with SEC’s visitors. The blend will be a one-of-a-kind single malt, using malted barley grown on SEC owned land, just south of Ayr.”

The Clydeside Distillery also represents another addition to the regeneration of the Finnieston area, around the Scottish Event Campus, fast becoming one of the most fashionable areas in the city of Glasgow. The distillery itself will produce a single malt whisky with all the sweet, mellow and soft characteristics of a lowland distillery.”
