COPS have launched a major search for a young man who vanished on Good Friday.

Donald Keir White, known as Keir, was last seen in Greenhill Terrace, Knockintiber, Kilmarnock at around 6 am on Friday, March 30.

His girlfriend Amy Collins said he vanished after getting home from the nightshift. She told social media users that he also left his phone and wallet behind.

Keir is described as 6ft, of slim build, with short black hair and a beard. When last seen, he was wearing a blue padded work jacket which was covered in paint and black Adidas trainers. He was carrying a black Nike holdall.

Sergeant Sharon Cadwell, of Kilmarnock Police Office, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Keir and would appeal to anyone who knows of his whereabouts, or for Keir himself, to let us or his family and friends know he is safe.

“We believe he will still be in the Knockintiber or wider Kilmarnock area and would ask you to think back, have you seen anyone matching Keir’s description?”

Anyone with information should contact Kilmarnock Police Office via 101, quoting incident number 1125 of Saturday 31 March 2018.
