A BODY has been discovered in the search for missing Kilmarnock man Donald Keir White.

Formal identification is yet to take place, however, it is believed to be the 24-year-old.

His relatives have been made aware.

Police were called to a report of the body of a man in a field near Greenhill Terrace at around 3.20pm today.

Donald had been missing from Greenhill Terrace, Knockentiber, since Friday, March 30.

Glasgow Times:

A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Donald’s girlfriend Amy Collins had earlier tweeted out an appeal for the safe return of her boyfriend.

In a viral tweet on Saturday, she had written: “If anyone has seen or heard from keir in the past 24 hours can you please contact me he was last seen when he got home from nightshift around 7am yesterday morning and has left his phone and wallet with us.”

On Sunday, anxious Amy said: “I keep expecting keir to just walk in the door but it's now been 48 hours with nothing at all so please everyone keep an eye out and keir if you can see this please come home we are all so worried!!!”

A report will now be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
