A MAN has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Kilmarnock.
Around 10.20pm on Tuesday, police were called to a report of a seriously injured woman within a home on Craigie Place.
An ambulance crew rushed the woman to Crosshouse Hospital, but she died shortly after arrival.
The 51-year-old man is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
