A date to withdraw life support for Alfie has been set but his parents hope to transfer him to a hospital in Italy for further treatment.
His parents criticised authorities after claiming they were stopped from taking him last week.
They are now preparing for an appeal against the High Court to support Alder Hey Children’s Hospital’s decision to turn off the toddler’s life support.
Glaswegians are being asked to show their support for the family by taking part in a peaceful protest in George Square.
