Christie Howieson told how she took inspiration for the design from a fellow city baker.

Followers of her Cake Days a Week page were quick to praise the design, with hundreds of comments celebrating the "belter of a cake".

The 24-year-old told the Scottish Sun: “A close friend of mine had requested the cake for her son Daniel’s 18th birthday.

“It was inspired by April Cottage Bakery after I was sent a picture of the cake and I put my own stamp on it.

“It took me a day and a half to make and I really enjoyed making this one.

“The little models were the hardest part because I wanted them to look realistic, but also like cartoons.”
