POLICE have released images of a man they wish to trace in connection with a serious assault in Glasgow city centre.
On Friday, February 16 this year, a 31-year-old man was attacked in Mitchell Lane and sustained injuries that required hospital treatment.
Officers believe the man pictured may be able to assist with their enquiries.
He is described as being in his mid 20s, wearing a black jacket and a grey hooded jumper underneath with a Nike swoosh across the chest. He was also wearing black tracksuit bottoms, black and white Nike Air Max trainers and was in possession of a drawstring JD Sports bag. The man appears to be homeless and was begging in Mitchell Lane at the time of the incident.
Detective Constable Kieran Guy, Greater Glasgow CID, said: “A violent assault like this within Glasgow city centre cannot be tolerated and we seek the assistance of the public in tracking down those responsible."
