A YOUNG man has been tagged for buying a stun gun.
The weapon was discovered by police officers during a search of Kyle Shanley's bedroom.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court, the 20-year-old pleaded guilty to having the stun gun in his possession on September 17, 2016.
In defence it was noted that the accused was already serving a Community Payback Order (CPO) for assault, but now had a good family support system in place.
Shanley, of Balgair Place, was sentenced to a Restriction of Liberty Order in which he will spend the next 12 weeks indoors between the hours of 9pm and 6am.
He was also handed another CPO with supervision for 12 months and a conduct requirement to attend alcohol and drugs counselling as directed.
