POLICE are freshly appealing for witnesses after a student died being hit by a car on University Avenue.
The 24-year-old had been in a critical condition at Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) following the incident on Tuesday.
She was struck by a Ford Fiesta around 5.25pm but died on Thursday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Sergeant Nicola Taylor from the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Helen Street is re-appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact her office through 101 quoting reference number 2733 of April 17, 2017."
Glasgow University also issued a statement. It said: "We are extremely sad to let you know that a student at our partner institution, the Glasgow International College, has passed away following a road traffic accident on Tuesday.
"All our thoughts go out to her family and friends."
