HELEN Flanagan has dropped out of her hosting role at a hospitality awards event due to her pregnancy taking a toll.

The Coronation Street actress was due to present the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards but has now said she must "listen to her body" and rest.

Now TV personality Josie Gibson is stepping into her shoes to take over co-hosting duties with radio presenter Des Clarke.

Awards bosses said they fully support Helen's decision.

Warren Paul, CEO of the gongs, said: "The Entertainment Awards are big supporters of Helen and her choice.

"We wish her and Scott all the best and we think it was a wise decision - family and health come first.

"We are very excited to announce who is taking over Helen's role as the co-host."

Helen's second child, a little brother or sister to Matilda, with Celtic player Scott Sinclair is due in six week's time and she is still filming the soap opera.

Josie was crowned winner of Big Brother in 2010 and has since taken part in Celebrity Big Brother.

She is a regular on Loose Women and This Morning.

The star said: "I am delighted to be coming up to Scotland to co-host The Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards alongside Des Clarke.

"I love Scotland and the people. See you Sunday Glasgow."

The top voted venues across categories will attend the VIP Gala Final on April 29 at an evening in Merchant Square, in the Merchant City.
