Passengers have been experiencing train delays between Glasgow and Edinburgh due to a signalling fault.

Scotrail anounced that there would be several delays due to the fault at Falkirk High.

Engineers were able to access the sight around 5.30pm and fix the fault however those travelling on the service have been warned that disruptions will continue.

A Scotrail spokesperson said: "Services are severely disrupted at the moment.

"The fault has been fixed. It's left our trains and crews out of position though, which we need to get back in place, to run a normal service again."

Passengers have been told that they can use their tickets on First Buses at this time.
