A MAN was threatened with violence in an attempted robbery bid in the early hours of this morning.
A 29-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and will appear before Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
At around 2.30am, the 24-year-old victim was walking along Niddry Street, near New Sneddon Street, when he was approached by another man and threatened with violence.
Police had issued a public appeal for information, adding that the incident was "isolated."
