The store's director Sarah Freel said: "The fire was a devastating blow for everyone who worked at Sauchiehall Street but we’ve worked hard to turn things around and are delighted to be returning to the high street so soon.

"Buchanan Galleries is a prime location just along the road from our former store, and we can’t wait to welcome our customers there in June. Those who require eye examinations in the meantime will continue to be invited to other nearby stores where they can expect the same first-class service.

"Thereafter, we are looking forward to seeing faces old and new in our brand new store. We’re also excited to have all our staff back under one roof as they are currently working from other stores in the vicinity."
