Glasgow MP David Linden has completed the London Marathon raising more than £2000 for a local charity.
The Glasgow East SNP MP finished the race on Sunday in a time of 5 hours 20minutes in what was the hottest ever London Marathon
He is the first sitting Glasgow MP to have done the London Marathon.
Mr Linden raised cash for Glasgow Community East End Carers currently at £2,200.
Mr Linden said: “Until January, I’d never run more than ten kilometres and now I can not only say I’ve run a marathon, but that I’m the first Glasgow MP to run the London Marathon.
“I’ll go back to Glasgow with warm memories that will stay with me for life, grateful thanks to the people of London for their endless encouragement and,above all - a big cheque for the unsung heroes I’m proud to call my friends, Glasgow Community East End Carers.”
Fellow MPs and MSPs backed his fundraising efforts along with people in the local community.
Neighbouring MP for Glasgow North East, Labour MP, Paul Sweeney, donated and said:"All in aid of a fantastic charity that has done so much to help Glaswegians in both of our constituencies since 1991."
The Tavern Bar in Parkhead donated more than £200 to the fundraising effort.
Mr Linden said his next running event is a half marathon in Stornoway next month.
