AROUND 80 jobs could be created if plans are approved for a development in Glasgow's East End.
Hermiston Securities Ltd want to redevelop vacant land at Glasgow Business Park in Springhill Parkway, Baillieston.
They have asked the city council for permission to build the mixed use development which would offer opportunities for industrial storage and distribution, and trade counter.
In a planning letter Hermiston Securities said that they recently purchased the Business Park.
The firm said: "This proposal represents significant investment in the Business Park and the first live development interest in business and industrial use in over 10 years.
"This phase we would expect to deliver approximately 80 jobs in addition to the direct and indirect construction jobs."
The site has received previous development interest and plans were submitted for a housing development and a hotel and pub.
A decision on the plans is expected in June.
