HUNDREDS of motorists were spoken to by cops who are hunting for the gunman responsible for killing Kenneth Reilly.

Cops were out in full force in Ruchill on Monday night for the stop and speak interview operation which took place almost a week after the murder.

Detectives hope their latest operation will give them possible clues as they continue their hunt for the killer. They also want any dash cam footage from motorists who drive in and around the Bilsland Road and Maryhill Road areas.

The operation was carried out between the hours of 9.30pm and 11.30pm. Officers were in Bilsland Drive, at the junction with Maryhill Road, speaking to motorists and members of the public for any information which could assist in their enquiries into the murder of the 29-year-old.

More than 600 cars were stopped and in excess of 100 members of the public were spoken to as part of the operation.

Kenneth was shot while sitting in the passenger seat of a silver BMW at traffic lights on Bilsland Drive, Ruchill around 10.25pm on Monday, April 16. He later died in hospital two days later.

Detective Superintendent Kenny Graham said: “A considerable amount of information was gathered last night and I would like to thank everyone involved for their patience and co-operation.

"The information is being assessed and will be followed up as appropriate.

"I am also seeking dash cam footage from any motorists who use that area.

"It’s possible their footage may have captured something which will assist us in piecing together exactly what has happened.

"It doesn’t necessarily have to be on the day of the crime, and we would ask you to provide us with any footage you may have for that area.”

Anyone with any dash cam footage can e-mail it to SCDMAJORINCIDENTSROOM1OSPREY2@SCOTLAND.PNN.POLICE.UK
