A FIREARM and ammunition were discovered when cops carried out a raid in the city's Calton.
Specialist officers, from Greater Glasgow’s serious and organised crime unit, raided a property on East Campbell Street under warrant at around 2.30pm on Tuesday.
The officers entered the house, and recovered a firearm and ammunition.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested following the police operation in the city's East End.
He has been charged in connection with alleged firearm offences. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, April 26.
Detective Inspector Steven Elliott said: “We remain focused and committed to targeting crime in all its forms.
"I would like to assure the public that we will act on any concerns they have and use all measures at our disposal to target those involved in criminality.”
